Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages, supervises and supports the Cost Control Officer and Cost Clerks with a view of maintaining and or increasing the profitability of the Food & Beverage Division.
• Initiates employee development to ensure the highest level of competence and efficiency be attained.
• Ensures that all related reports and other information required by the owning company and the hotel management are accurately compiled and submitted within the specified time. Sees to it that all periodic reports (daily, monthly and or quarterly) are submitted on time.
• Conducts physical inspections from time to time of all stores outlets (includes spot checking)
• Coordinates with other departments regarding storeroom and cost control operational matters if necessary.
• Checks/verifies all reconciled inventory reports as to look balance and actual count.
• Implements and follow up on approved procedures (with memorandum) and coordinates with the departments concerned.
• Analyze all factors affecting costs of food, beverage and general supplies and recommends corrective actions when necessary.
• Prepares monthly cost controller’s report; copy furnished Owning Company, The General Manager, Exec. Comm., Exec. Chef, The Finance Manager for Operations and the Operation Analyst.
• Updates and distributes purchase comparison and sales statistics as required.
• Supervises and assists in conducting physical inventories.
• Reviews/checks all month end reports prepared by staff.
• Supervises/assists the Cost Control Officer in preparing the Daily Food & Beverage cost report, when necessary.
• Conducts spot checking of the daily menu entrée item inventory for all outlets.
• Performs other duties and special projects as may be assigned by his superior.

RELATIONSHIP

• Reports to Assistant Financial Controller.
• Directs and supervises activities of the cost control staff.
• Coordinates with other managers for all activities of the hotel.

OTHERS

• Continuous learning through own IDP.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Minimum education of bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration or relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years in credit collection or relevant experience
• Have good communication skills in written and spoken English
• Result and detail-oriented and be proactive
• Possess professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal
